One of the biggest surprises to occur during Record Store Day this past Saturday was an apparently spontaneous decision by Chris Knox to perform with the three-piece Rackets at Real Groovy Records.
Knox, who has suffered from the effects of a stroke, was on hand to help promote the release of his former band, Toy Love’s, Live At The Gluepot album, recorded during their final gig back in September of 1980. Chris and Paul Kean, another Toy Love alumni, played a DJ set at the store. Later Chris was inspired to perform the Toy Love song Swimming Pool with Rackets. As you can see and hear from the video clip, Chris is in excellent voice. Thanks to the folks at Real Groovy for supplying the clip.
