Make sure you tune in to Radio New Zealand National at 4pm on Saturday, June 30th to check out Columbus Discovers America. Marty Duda hosts the 30 minute programme that investigates Kiwi pop icon Ray Columbus’ brief sojourn to the United States in 1966 to seek his musical fortune. The result was some of Ray’s most experimental and thrilling music. You might say San Francisco turned Ray from a Mod to a Rocker.
