The Walkmen – Heaven (Album Review)

If you had to follow a template for a 21st century indie-rock band, just take a look at The Walkmen. They formed a decade ago out of the ashes of two previous hipster outfits…Jonathan Fire*Eater and The Recoys, they have a thing for vintage instruments, their new album was produced by Phil Ek (The Shins, Fleet Foxes, Band Of Horses), it was recorded in Seattle and Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold stops by to add some vocals. The only thing out of kilter is the label…they should be on Sub Pop, rather than Fat Possum.
