Five years after her last performance in Auckland, Australian singer-songwriter returned to New Zealand for two shows at a new venue…the Rangatira Q Theatre, on Queen Street. Between her previous appearance and now Higgins toyed with the idea of quitting music, due to a rough bout of writer’s block. This made her show on Monday night all the more triumphant as her long-suffering fans sat in rapture while Higgins played a healthy selection of old favourites to make up for lost time.
