Promoter and CEO Amanda Calvert said that tickets for the Taupo, Matakana and Queenstown shows were extremely popular with holidaymakers over the summer period but fans working in the country’s capital had requested a show closer to home “We received a clear message from fans that three shows weren’t enough” said Calvert “and so, for the first time, we are delighted to be bringing the Summer Concert Series (previously headlined by the Doobie Brothers and the Little River Band) to Wellington for an evening show.”
This tour will be a NZ first for Benatar/Giraldo and Bachman & Turner who will be performing their numerous mega hits like Love is a Battlefield, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Heartbreaker, You Better Run and Taking Care of Business. With rock favourites America riding up front on A Horse with No Name, this year’s Summer Concert Series is THE not to be missed show of the summer!
