erm,just a wee gripe..the vid is not rectifying well.it’s disjointed.okay,I get the ‘picture’ and im gonna go only coz i loved 28 daze later and a good zombie flick is hard to pass over.What about doin th Evil Dead trailer or did i fly past that one?

Hi Marty & Co..
yeah,these guys rock! think th’ sexy swagger of Jim Morrison,no really. and Grace Slick(Jefferson Airplane) married to th’ like of Brianjonestown massacre/Dandys.They played for well over two hours after th encore they didnt wanna leave it seemed.The lead singer came out with sparse arrgmy accappelo accomp by his way cool moog to get that ‘swirly sound’ and eventually thee others filed back on.Woman drummer who is minimalist but very capable! Two left-handed guitarists! one is multi-instrumentalist.and the keyboard player plays a large kettle drum /floof tom on two songs accompaning the reg drummer.Very,very cool.Like I said earlier,these guys obviuosly wear their influences on sleeves and it’s contemporary so no nostaglia thank goodness.They had a huge following on recent SXSW Fest in Austin,Texas where they hail from.
Support was from Melbourne’s Merlocks and Sydney’s Laurels.Found them a tad too loud tho but I seen them before last year.Also had a female drummer but was def out of the Black Angels league.

horrible venue. promoter should be ashamed. putting lives at risk, violating health and safety regulations, fire codes, liquor licensing.

well,last night I was treated to some damn fine good ol 60′s style psychedelic rock from th likes of The Black Angels..You heard of ‘em? it’s like Grace slick(Jefferson Airplane) meets Jim th Lizard King all sexy swagger and th Dandy Warhols/Brianjonestown Massacre…Never see ‘em before and only got hold of their latest album last weekend’Indigo Meadows’ & Phosphane.. nice! but to see them rockin out free form space jammin’ was a delight.They played at Palacelaasttniteand for over two hours!

Ah yes the venue …. but we all new this before the show even happened ….I got in early and down the front ..not a problem at all …and nice time at Golden dawn after also….

G’day there Marty..Nice choice! yeah,I just acquired the new album o’er th’ weekend.Yeah,I’m with you there buddy.Bring back Sabbath and let ‘em play th’ album in it’s entirety,like they do(others) so often these daze.Give this album a hefty 9 out of ten.
