Neil Young & Crazy Horse – Vector Arena (Concert Review)

NY9There’s something about the combination of Neil Young and Crazy Horse that taps into the primal essence of rock and roll. Their simple, stripped down music, full of Frank “Poncho” Sampedro’s distorted rhythm and Neil’s stinging leads is anchored by the unadorned rhythm section of Billy Talbot (bass) and Ralph Molina (drums).  Despite their simplicity, and lack of embellishments, I could listen to them all night, and that’s just what I and 12,000 other fans did as they played for just under three hours.
