13th Floor New Song Of The Day: Filthy Friends – Last Chance County
Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker and R.E.M.’s Peter Buck regroup as Filthy Friends and release a new song, Last Chance County.
The track is taken from the band’s upcoming second album, Emerald Valley, due out May 3rd. The band also features Scott McCaughey and Kurt Bloch from the Minus 5, Bill Rieflin from King Crimson and other bands, and terrific drummer Linda Pitmon from the Miracle Three and the Baseball Project.
The song was written by Tucker who based the song’s subject on her own 1980’s teenage self.
