R.I.P. John Prine

We here at 13th Floor are very sad to have to report that John Prine has died, age 73.

Mr. Prine’s death was the result of complications from Covid-19 virus. Over the past 50 years or so, John Prine proved to be a songwriter beyond compare with songs such as Hello In There, Sam Stone and Angel From Montgomery. 

In 2018, Prine released his first album of new material, The Tree Of Forgiveness, and toured behind it heavily, including a wonderful show at Auckland’s Bruce Mason Centre last February. You can read the 13th Floor review here.
