R.I.P. Dame Vera Lynn
We can’t let this go by without a mention. Iconic British singer Vera Lynn has died at the age of 103.
Dame Vera Lynn’s recording of We’ll Meet Again became the song that brought brought a nation together. Recorded in 1939 it re-entered the charts earlier this year in recognition of the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Of course Dame Vera had many, many other recordings. Enjoy this 1942 recording of The White Cliffs Of Dover and shed a tear for Vera Lynn.
