As they used to say, “Wow, has she got a set of pipes!”. Vocalist extraordinaire Mandy Barnett talks to us from Nashville about her interpretation of Billie Holiday’s classic 1958 album, Lady In Satin.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to Mandy about singing songs such as I Get Along Without You Now, For Heaven’s Sake and I’m A Fool To Want You with a 60-piece orchestra and with arrangements written for her by legendary composer and arranger Sammy Nestico (Count Basie) who just passed away January, aged 96. Her new album is titled, Every Star Above.
