Hiss Golden Messenger bandleader, songwriter and lead vocalist M.C. Taylor says of the new song: “‘Glory Strums’ was written in the chaotic green spring of 2020 as a hymn to finding the places and spaces that make us human.”

Quietly Blowing It was written, arranged, and produced by Taylor and is the follow-up to 2019’s critically acclaimed release Terms of Surrender, which received a 2021 Grammy Award nomination for Best Americana Album. Special guests and contributors include Griffin and Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, Tony Award–winning artist Anaïs Mitchell, Zach Williams of The Lone Bellow, Nashville guitar great Buddy Miller, and producer/musician Josh Kaufman of Bonny Light Horseman.

Hiss Golden Messenger has announced a long-awaited Winter/Spring tour in support of Quietly Blowing It, which begins on November 30th in Hummelstown, PA, before heading to Webster Hall in New York City on December 2nd. The run of 30+ dates will take the Durham, NC-based group coast to coast with stops that include Cambridge, MA, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Charleston, SC, Atlanta, New Orleans, Austin, San Francisco, Portland, OR, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis and Chicago before winding things up in Nashville on March 12th.
