Spencer Cullum Shares His Coin Collection: Interview
Spencer Cullum has just released his first album, Spencer Cullum’s Coin Collection, a surprising mix of English Folk, Krautrock and Country made in Nashville.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to Spencer from his home in Nashville where the British-born musician has landed, becoming one of the city’s top session cats, playing his pedal steel guitar for everyone from Miranda Lambert to Dolly Parton to Deer Tick.
So, here is Spencer to tell us how he mixed such diverse influences as Sandy Denny, Big Star, Can and Soft Machine and made this impressive debut.
