Pictish Trail Takes Us To The Isle Of Eigg: Interview
Pictish Trail is Johnny Lynch, a musician who finds himself living on The Isle Of Eigg with his family and a small collection of frighteningly large puppets. Together they are an Island Family.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to Johnny who was rehearsing with his band “in one of Glasgow’s cheapest hotels”. But most of the new Pictish Trail album (due out this Friday) was recorded solely by Lynch on The Isle Of Eigg, which can be found just off the Scottish West Coast and is considered one of the most beautiful of the Hebridian Islands.
Lynch has been living there for 12 years but only just began feeling at home once the pandemic kicked in. Here he is to tell us why.
