Thomas Oliver Gets Beneath The Weissenborn (Interview)
This Friday, August 23rd, Thomas Oliver will release his solo album, Beneath The Weissenborn. As he states in the liner notes, “I wanted to explore the sonic possibilities of the instrument in the same way that I wanted to explore its harmonic possibilities. I wanted to tell a Weissenborn story”. The 13th Floor rang up Thomas Oliver as he was strolling down Cuba Street in Wellington and spoke to him about his love affair with the stringed instrument.

lovely stuff indeed! I gotta hear him live,that’s all.I can hear th’ Floyd in there.and Mark Knofler too.He sounds like areally nice down-to-earth guy and some-one you’d invite back to chew th fat with.
