‘Celeste’, the first single from Auckland singer/songwriter Ezra Vine is an infectious celebration of anticipation, combining an army of floor toms, with Mike Snow piano clusters, and a Shins-like lilt. According to Ezra, “‘Celeste’ is a song that was written, recorded and produced by me, in my bedroom with additional production from Samuel James, mixed by Nic Manders, and mastered by Nathan Tiddy. The song is about optimism, confusion, and blurring the lines between a desired imagination and a stark reality.”
The video for ‘Celeste’ is created by animator Rob Wallace of Parallel Teeth (formerly of Special Problems, having created projects for Ladi6 and David Dallas) and was premiered on the Huffington Post on Saturday. ‘Celeste’ is currently on sale now from iTunes.
