Jenny Mitchell Announces NZ Tour In Support Of Forest & Bird. After recent in appearances in Australia and the United States, Jenny Mitchell is touring her award-winning folk/alt-country sound throughout Aotearoa in support of Forest & Bird; New Zealand’s largest independent conservation organisation.
Recently signed to Australian record label Cooking Vinyl, Jenny’s most recent album (Tug of War) received a 2022 Aotearoa Music Award nomination, 2023 Australian Golden Guitar nomination and is home to the 2022 APRA Best Country Song; Trouble Finds a Girl.

The Bush & the Birds Tour is an extension of track 11 from the album; a song that pays tribute to the songwriter’s late Grandfather and a celebration of the love of the land, and the creatures that live in it, that he handed down to the Mitchell whānau. In the spirit of his legacy, Jenny will be donating 10% of tour profits directly to Forest & Bird.

“I’m so thrilled to be taking this show on the road and to be able to give back to Forest & Bird, particularly in 2023 as they celebrate their centennial year.”
 The tour will travel from Auckland to Invercargill with regional locations including Carterton, Katikati and Te Anau. Audiences can keep a look out for special guest appearances along the way including Jenny’s sisters, The Mitchell Twins, and Invercargill based songwriter Liv Cochrane.
