Pocket Money – Get Out: 13th Floor New Song Of The Day

Tāmaki Makaurau based power-pop group, Pocket Money, is stoked to announce the release of their latest single/video combo “Get Out” is out now!

Here’s the blurb:

Pocket MoneyRecorded over the course of two months, at both K Drum Studios in Auckland NZ with the help of Tom Broome (Home Brew, Tami Nielson), and at Chris Marshall’s (Miss June) home studio, ‘Get Out’ is a fierce and energetic response to fake friends, manipulative exes, and social media. This song combines energised guitar riffs, melodic hooks and driving rhythms that get your heart racing.

Directed by Iara Gelpi, the accompanying video depicts Chris Marshall being held hostage by his bandmates – Kat Tomacruz (Fazerdaze) and Chris Townsend. This quirky offbeat crime-thriller shows the band at various pit stops throughout West Auckland, with their getaway car weaving through the backroads of the Waitа̄kere Ranges. It’s a comedic, yet ominous, take on the themes of the song, with Iara’s signature filmmaking flair on full display.
