VÏKAE – Death Eater: 13th Floor New Song Of The Day
After conjuring a major moment with SWIPE RIGHT (featured in The Rolling Stone (AUS/NZ) best music picks of the week), Ukrainian-born, NZ-based VÏKAE returns with DEATH EATER — the second searing chapter in her upcoming body of work, DOOMSDAY COLLECTIVE, due November 2025.
Here is the blurb with more:
Written in the storeroom of a soul-sucking retail job, scrawled on the back of a napkin between shifts, DEATH EATER is a venomous hymn for anyone who’s ever swallowed their rage just to keep the lights on. Gothic, poetic, and laced with spite and spellwork, the track dances between glossy hooks and brutal honesty — a confessional wrapped in synthetic lace and smoke.

Born in Ukraine and raised in Aotearoa, VÏKAE blends Eastern European mysticism with alt-pop maximalism — shedding skin, whispering hexes, and surviving the burn in plain sight. DEATH EATER is a curse you sing along to, a mirror held to the monstrous feminine, and a warning to anyone who mistook her silence for softness.
Co-written and produced by Abigail Knudson and mastered by Rich Bryan, DEATH EATER pulses with theatrical tension and synth-drenched catharsis. Visuals led by Chontalle Musson capture the shadow-glamour of VÏKÆ’s final form — dangerous, divine, and wholly unbothered by your redemption arc.

A national New Zealand tour is slated for late 2025, with a full European run to follow in 2026 as DOOMSDAY COLLECTIVE unfurls.
“This isn’t a song,” says VÏKAE. “It’s a warning. For anyone who ever underestimated me — this one’s for you. Peace feels different when you’ve had to earn it”.
DEATH EATER is out now on all major platforms.
