Echomatica – Love Isn’t Always: 13th Floor New Song Of The Day
Emerging indie dream-pop band Echomatica today release their debut single, Love Isn’t Always on Dead Signal Records. The song introduces their immersive cinematic sound, and their lyrical exploration of human connection in an increasingly inauthentic digital world. Here is the blurb with more:
Self-produced, and recorded direct to tape by Darren McShane of Earwig Studios, Love Isn’t Always evokes introspective afternoons, rain-soaked neon streets and gritty emotional realism, paired with old-school analogue vibes.

The build-up to Echomatica’s first single has already brought positive reactions and anticipation on social channels ahead of the release this Friday August 1st on Bandcamp, plus all streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and more.
Singer/songwriter Charlie MacLean, guitarists Matt Chong (Lights Over Kodiak), AJ (These Violent Delights) and bassist Scott Samson (Rimu, Feudant) first got together playing an eclectic mix of acoustic campfire covers that quickly progressed to collaborating on original material with a distinctive sound, influenced by a wide range of artists from Joy Division, Siouxsie & The Banshees, M83 and Portishead, to retro-futurist synth pop, shoegaze, and dreampop.

The band’s debut self-titled album Echomatica is due for release on Friday October 10, on vinyl and digitally.
“A smooth and seamless flow of music to accompany your thoughts. If you’re ever into ambience-like tunes, then this is the song for you.” – The Gatekeeper Space
