About RENÉE

Following the success of her debut single Slip Away, RENÉE released Caught Up Again featuring Will McClean on December 6th, 2024. The track explores the emotional chaos of letting go from two perspectives, with captivating vocals and a powerful narrative. RENÉE and Will have since performed the song live, including at the CubaDupa festival in March 2025.

RENÉE began her solo career in early 2024 with producer Jacob Callwood, who has since become her main creative partner. Together, they’ve shaped a sound that blends neo-soul, pop, and afrobeat with a distinct Kiwi edge, pushing genre boundaries to craft something fresh and authentic. She has also collaborated with producer Mikeyy, whose contributions have brought further depth and texture to her evolving sound. Since then, RENÉE has taken her music to the stage at multiple live shows, including remixed DJ sets that reimagine her tracks, while RENÉE primarily focuses on performing with her band setup. This combination has helped build momentum for what’s next, as her sound continues to evolve both on stage and in the studio.

On May 22nd, RENÉE performed at Meow in Wellington, opening for Foley, Rita Mae, and Dani Josie in a show that raised funds for Wellington Rape Crisis. As a longtime admirer of Foley, this performance marked a meaningful milestone in her live journey. In July 2025, RENÉE played back-to-back shows at San Fran, opening for Lipstick and headlining her first Eyegum performance.
