It’s about the transfer of emotion that happens when the needle hits the spinning vinyl grooves. The track ebbs and flows with the magical process of playing a record, with the band giving a nod to their influences. ‘A to Z, Rock to Dread, Strummer fed – Get inside of your head…..’ The song is from the album ‘Hotwire Babylon’, a psychedelic rollercoaster with twists and turns from reimagining the origin of the species, to tripping through the back brain. Imagine the Glastonbury festival but in heart of a city, on the set of Bladerunner…. Then add a sprinkling of sex, drugs and rock and roll!
The Gemini Effect are sometimes raw fury, tripping through a psychedelic wormhole, they focus pure energy. Always honest, channeling lyrics with a conscience. They are not afraid to draw from multiple musical genres, dipping into guitar driven glitchy garage rock and roll, to progressive dreamscapes and embracing the off beat dub style.
