R.I.P. Ray Thomas (Moody Blues)
Ray Thomas, a founding member of The Moody Blues has died, age 76, due to prostate cancer.
Thomas, who played flute and sang with the group, was part of the band’s formative years when then played r&b and scored their first hit, Go Now, in 1964. He remained with the group when they transformed into one of the most successful prog rock bands of the late 60s and early 70s with albums such as Days Of Future Past, A Question Of Balance and Seventh Sojourn.
Thomas eventually left the group in 2002. The Moody Blues are due to be inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame later this year.
