Behind the scenes with the D4 at the Kings Arms

The D4 – Kings Arms, February 22 2018

What does it take for a rock and roll band of international repute to prepare and deliver an explosive show? Well, you are about to see for yourself because The 13th Floor photographer Reuben Raj was granted an all access pass to capture the final D4 concert at the Kings Arms Tavern.

As a photographer, I have been fortunate to photograph movie sets and concert venues. The time I spent at the Kings Arms with the D4 and their opening bands, Miss June and Echo Ohs, reminded me of how much hard work is involved in covering every little detail in a show. Each band rehearsed relentlessly with their sound and light engineers, contingency plans were drawn up for every eventuality and much more to ensure the audience left with a long-lasting positive experience.

A special thank you to John Baker and the boys from the D4 (Dion, Jimmy, Beaver and Jake) for letting this photographer hang out and enjoy the banter between lifelong friends.
