Eric Carmen Has Died Age 74: R.I.P.
Eric Carmen, the former Raspberry who went on to solo success with hits like All By Myself and Hungry Eyes has died at age 74.
Carmen formed The Raspberries in Cleveland, Ohio in 1970 from members of The Choir and Cyrus Erie.
The Carmen-led Raspberries hit big with Go All The Way in 1972, establishing a classic power-pop sound and continuing with singles like I Wanna Be With You, Let’s Pretend and Overnight Sensation, each song a piece of power-pop heaven.
The band split in 1975 and Eric Carmen continued his winning ways with hits like All By Myself and Never Gonna Fall In Love Again.
