Honouring Rachel Webb – 13th Floor Ace Photographer
All of us here at the 13th Floor are devastated at the passing of Rachel Webb, whose been one of our finest, most passionate photographers for years. She was a music lover first and her passion for music came through in her photos, happy to shoot all genres, as comfortable in Whammy Bar as she was in Spark Arena. But her true love was kiwi music, the grungier the better – and her pics cut to the dirty heart of rock’n’roll.
She was still out shooting through June this year, even as she waged a long battle with cancer. I’ve put together a gallery of some of my favourites of her photos. She will be sorely and sadly missed. As a member of the team and a wonderful friend – to me and to everyone in the music photography community.
