Lou’ana has just released Strawberry Nights, a very Kiwi holiday song that she calls, A Christmas & Solstice gift for you.

In honour of the Summer Solstice, I wanted to gift you a new song. It’s called Strawberry Nights, inspired by our Aotearoa summer Christmas – warm evenings, glowing streets, and the feeling of being pulled back into Christmas memories of family, music, and togetherness. This song is a gift for Aotearoa, made to be shared with your family and the people you love.
We wanted to capture that gentle, golden summer feeling, drawing musical inspiration from old soul records and bringing it to life with some beautiful friends (see video credits) who joined producer & arranger Nate and I in the studio to help finish it just in time for Christmas. Because of the holiday break it isn’t on streaming platforms just yet, but you can listen now on YouTube andBandcamp.
