Mark Volman: The Turtles/ Flo & Eddie Has Died Age 78 – R.I.P.
We are saddened by the news of the death of Mark Volman, a founding member of The Turtles and one half of the duo, Flo & Eddie.
Along with Howard Kaylan, who was Eddie to Mark’s Flo, Mark made a string of hits throughout the 1960’s with The Turtles including You Showed Me, Eleanor, She’s My Girl, Let Me Be and Happy Together.
Mark and Howard became Flo & Eddie (also The Phlorescent Leech and Eddie) working with the likes of Frank Zappa, T. Rex and Bruce Springsteen. That’s them you hear on Get It On (Bang A Gong) and Hungry Heart.
