Melvins Live At The Kings Arms, Auckland
The tiny Kings Arms was packed to the rafters on this hot, humid Saturday night as The Melvins rocked the crowd of just under 700 fans. It’s been a while since the veteran sludge-metal band toured New Zealand and they’ve gone through a few changes since they were last here. Singer/ guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover are now playing with bass player Jared Warren and drummer Coady Willis of the band Big Business. Jared fits right in on bass and vocals and the double drum attack is simply awesome. The band played with power and precision for 70 minutes and left the crowd begging for more. The Melvins will return to Auckland on Wednesday, February 23rd when they play a set at the Whammy Bar.
