Mundi – Bringing Fusion To Ponsonby Social Club: 13th Floor MusicTalk
Mundi is coming to Ponsonby! Here is flautist, dancer and vocalist Tamara Smith to tell us what to expect when the band returns to Auckland.
The 13th Floor’s Marty Duda spoke to Tamara, who was home in Christchurch, about how Mundi fuses Celtic, Latin, Brazilian and African sounds into something uniquely…Mundi. And speaking of unique…Tamara demonstrates her one-of-a-kind Mayan Temple Flute!

Mundi are excited to be performing once again in Tāmaki Makaurau with an abundance of new music to dance to and with West African drum and dance ensemble Kra To Ko Kra to open!
Filled with joy and exuberant energy, Mundi has captured hearts across the land and far-flung seas, touring and performing extensively. Mundi’s performances are mesmerizing- interlacing stories through music of our interactions with nature and ourselves on a sizzling array of instruments: African and Brazilian percussion, flutes , guitar, bass ,vocals and dances intertwined.
