New Song Of The Day: Passenger – Hell Or High Water
Mike Rosenberg, aka Passenger, has just released a new single…Hell Or High Water.
The song is taken from what will be Passenger’s next album, due out later this year.
Here’s the record company blurb:
“Hell Or High Water” sonically and visually introduces us to the feeling of Americana “my dad is American” explains Rosenberg, “and we used to go over every other summer when we were kids. I always loved it.” The music video for “Hell Or High Water” takes us straight into the heart of the vast North American landscape. “Hell Or High Water was the first song I wrote for this new record so it’s fitting that it’s the first single. It’s a song about trying to get your head around the complexities of relationships and why ultimately a lot of them don’t work out. The video was shot over a few days in various national parks- Monument Valley, Valley of Fire, Death Valley, and Joshua Tree. These epic and vast landscapes really help to portray a feeling of being lost in a hopeless quest for answers.”
From humble beginnings to the record-breaking, seven times platinum single “Let Her Go”, the singer-songwriter’s latest tour saw him perform to a combined audience of more than 1.4 million people, in 29 countries, playing 97 gigs and 23 busking shows. Across his 11 year career Passenger’s works have also been recognised across the world, with “Let Her Go” being nominated for a Brit Award, 23 Official No. 1’s, and Rosenberg being awarded The Ivors Novello for ‘Most Performed Work’.
