New Song Of The Day: Weezer – Africa
Last week we brought you Weezer’s version of Toto’s Rosanna, now, today, its Africa!
For some reason, forces on the internet have been campaigning for Weezer to record the 1982 Toto hit, Africa, for some time. Finally, after toying with them with Rosanna, Rivers Cuomo and Co have delivered the goods.
Weezer was to have released a new album of their own, titled The Black Album, last Friday, but so far, no sign of it. The 13th Floor received this message from Warner Music NZ: “We will be releasing new Weezer content this year, but unsure at this stage if that includes The Black Album. I am chasing to get more information but that’s all that I have at this stage.”
