PLUTO RETURN FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY – CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF A 2000s CLASSIC!
Get ready, Auckland – Pluto are back for one night only!
The legendary Kiwi rockers will reunite for an exclusive show at Double Whammy on Saturday, 8 November, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their multi-platinum classic album, Pipeline Under The Ocean, with special guest Arahi.

Originally released in 2005, Pipeline Under The Ocean became a defining soundtrack of 2000s Aotearoa – packed with alt-rock anthems like ‘Long White Cross’ and ‘Dance Stamina’ and cementing Pluto as one of the most electrifying live acts of their era. The breakout track ‘Long White Cross’ earned Pluto Single of the Year at the 2006 NZ Music Awards.
Now, the original lineup Milan Borich, Tim Arnold, Mike Hall, Matthias Jordan and Michael Franklin-Browne will reunite to bring those era-defining tracks back to life in an intimate venue that matches the raw energy of the album.
“This record bottled a pretty crazy chapter for us, a lot was going on at the time. It was a turning point for the band and for a lot of our fans. Celebrating its anniversary now, and finally having it out on vinyl, is something that means a lot to us. We’re really looking forward to playing this show,” says frontman Milan Borich.
“There are tracks on this reissue that no one’s heard, even some of our closest friends. It feels like opening a time capsule,” says bassist Mike Hall.
Special Guest: Arahi
Opening the night is rising star Arahi, bringing his cinematic blend of folk and rock that echoes the emotional intensity and genre-pushing spirit Pluto is known for. Named one of NZ’s emerging voices to watch, Arahi’s inclusion is a nod to both the past and the future of local music.
‘PIPELINE UNDER THE OCEAN’ – VINYL REISSUE
To mark this milestone, Pipeline Under The Ocean is being reissued on double-vinyl for the first time ever, featuring all original tracks plus five previously unreleased songs from the band’s vault.
Produced in collaboration with Holiday Records and JB Hi-Fi, this is a true collector’s edition.
