Quail State, Lisa Crawley & Herriot Row announce New Year show at the Wine Cellar

Quail State (Jono Aidney) and Lisa Crawley return from Melbourne. They’re joined by Herriot Row (Simon Comber) for an evening of solo performances at the Wine Cellar.
3 January, Wine Cellar
8pm, $10 Tickets from utr.co.nz / $15 at the door.

In 2015, Jono Aidney released Volcanic Hazards of Auckland as Quail State. Later that year, he released If You Feel A Panic Attack Coming Put This On as #SADMAXKEY. On this return from Melbourne, he revisits songs from a lifetime before any of that.

Herriot Row is the musical moniker of Auckland-based artist Simon Comber. He plays folk rock songs in alternate guitar tunings about boy racers and dead New Zealand poets. The debut Herriot Row album ‘Lesser Stars’ was released in September 2017.

With a back catalogue that boasts two albums and three EPs, coupled with countless collaborations, tours, television appearances and acclaimed music-based projects, Lisa Crawley has well and truly earned her reputation as one of Australasia’s most well-respected musicians.

Lisa has recently released ‘Wedding Band’, a new single recorded by Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Leonard Cohen) at the prestigious Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity) where Crawley recently participated in an artists residency working with an all star grammy nominated faculty in Canada.

“A breath of fresh air, it’s no wonder Crawley has become one of the country’s most respected ladies in the game.” – The AU Review
