Quincy Jones Has Died At The Age of 91: R.I.P.
Quincy Jones, producer, bandleader and musician has died at his home in Los Angeles, surrounded by family, he was 91.
Quincy Jones is probably best known as the producer of Michael Jackson’s biggest albums, Thriller, Off The Wall and Bad. But he did so much more. He was a jazz arranger and conducer in the 1950s before producing hits for the likes of Lesley Gore and Frank Sinatra along with soundtracks for dozens of films becoming the first African American to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “The Eyes of Love” from the film Banning.
Quincy Jones went on to win 28 Grammys including a Grammy Legend Award in 1992 (one of only 15 people ever to receive it).
