R.I.P. Clyde Stubblefield (The Funky Drummer)
We are sad to report the death of Clyde Stubblefield known also as The Funky Drummer, for his work with the James Brown Band in the late 1960s/early 70s. Clyde passed away at age 73 due to kidney failure. His playing on the 1970 James Brown track, Funky Drummer, is one of the most sampled drum breaks ever.
