R.I.P. Kinky Friedman: Satirist, Musician and Novelist Has Died Age 79
Kinky Friedman has died at his longtime family home at Echo Hill Ranch in Medina, Texas at age 79 complications associated with Parkinson’s disease.
Friedman made three groundbreaking, if not, controversial albums with his band, The Texas Jewboys in the 1970s beforing joining up with Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Review in 1976.
From there Kinky went on to write novels and eventually run for governor of Texas.
