R.I.P. Lloyd Price
We hate to see any of these great artists from the beginning of rock pass away. So it is with sadness we learn the Lloyd Price has died, age 88.
Lloyd was one of the greats of the New Orleans scene of the 1950s that also spawned Fats Domino. His Lawdy Miss Clawdy, written and recorded by Price at age 19, was a chart topper in 1952 and featured Fats on piano.
Lloyd Price went on to score a string of hits in the late 50s including, Personality, Stagger Lee and Just Because.
