R.I.P. Max Merritt

We are sad to hear that Kiwi music giant Max Merritt has, indeed, slipped away, age 79.

Born in Christchurch in 1941, Max made his musical mark both in New Zealand and Australia with his band The Meteors. The top 10 hit Slipping Away was a high-point of a long career that began in the late 1950s.
