R.I.P Paul Revere (Of Paul Revere & The Raiders)
Paul Revere, leader of 1960’s rockers Paul Revere & The Raiders has passed away at the age of 76. Despite the fact that they were teenage pinups and featured heavily on Dick Clark’s TV series Where The Action Is, The Raiders were one of the hardest rocking bands of the era. With pony-tailed vocalist Mark Lindsay leading the charge and Paul Revere parked behind his organ, The Raiders cranked out hit after hit between 1964 and 1971 including such AM radio classics as Good Thing, Kicks, Steppin’ Out and Just Like Me. Revere was the constant in the band touring with them from 1958 until this past July when he could finally rock no more.
