RIP: Bobby Keys
We are sad to learn of the death of rock & roll sax man Bobby Keys. Keys, who was 70 years old, was best known for his work with The Rolling Stones. He had been their sax player on and off since 1969. But his career extended way beyond Brown Sugar. He played on hundreds of sessions from Dion’s 1961 hit The Wanderer to dates with John Lennon, Carly Simon and Joe Cocker. Bobby Keys played a rare solo gig at Auckland’s Powerstation earlier this year. You can read the 13th Floor review here. And you can read, or listen to, an interview with Bobby Keys here.

Sad news, but a life well lived and a life that left it’s mark.
See ya Bobby
