Ronnie Spector Has Died at age 78: R.I.P.
Ronnie Spector lead singer of The Ronettes and voice behind such classic songs as Be My Baby, Walking In The Rain and Baby I Love You has died at age 78.
Ronnie was born Veronica Bennett in New York City where she and her sister and cousin formed The Ronettes who went on to become one of the greatest and most distinctive sounding girl groups of the 1960s. That sound can be attributed to producer (and ex-husband) Phil Spector and to Ronnie’s voice. Here is a statement released by Ronnie’s family:
