Superturtle – You Know You’re Gonna Get Some: 13th Floor New Song Of The Day
Superturtle’s snappy new pop-punk tune ‘You Know You’re Gonna Get Some’ exhibits wry humour, as the earnest storyline of unrequited love is turned on its head by the chorus.
Here is the blurb with more:
This juxtaposition is highlighted by the counterpoint of dual vocalists Dean Kalman and Darren McShane, and brought to life in the truly ghoulish music video by Holly Haigh-McShane and Darren McShane.
Recorded and mastered at Earwig Studios by Darren McShane, with Ben and Holly Haigh-McShane as tape ops, the fast paced pop punk gem includes some crazy synth for good measure.
‘You Know You’re Gonna Get Some‘ is the fourth single/video from the upcoming Superturtle double album, which is near completion and will feature cover art by Chris Knox.
From their very first single, 2008’s ‘Free Ride‘, to this brand new song, Superturtle continue a tradition of finely crafted post-punk and pop-punk singles spanning thirteen videos and five albums. Performed as a tightly knit 3-piece, ‘You Know You’re Gonna Get Some’ features James Still on drums, Dean Kalman on guitar and vocals, and Darren McShane on bass, synthesizer, guitar overdub and vocals.
‘You Know You’re Gonna Get Some’ is out via Sarang Bang Records.
