The Haka Party Incident Cancelled Due to Covid 19
The Haka Party Incident cancelled. Auckland Theatre Company (ATC) is deeply disappointed to advise that due to ongoing uncertainty arising from the Alert Levels in Tāmaki Makaurau, the return Auckland season of The Haka Party Incident by Katie Wolfe, due to open 2nd October at ASB Waterfront Theatre, has been cancelled.
It is anticipated that Auckland will be in Alert Level 3 during the dates planned for show rehearsals and opening night. Given the new restrictions on gatherings under Delta Level 2, Tāmaki Makaurau needs to be at Alert Level 1 to commence performances.
ATC will continue to pay artists and crew throughout the scheduled season and is asking ticket holders to consider donating the value of their tickets if they are in a position to support the company and artists. It is hoped that ATC will be able to bring this award-winning “innovative, brilliant piece of theatre that all New Zealanders need to see” back to Auckland audiences at a future date.
Auckland Theatre Company extends gratitude for all the support and encouragement received as this latest cancellation is worked through.
Ticket holders have been contacted directly with donation and refund options.
