This Silent Divide – City Lights: 13th Floor New Song Of The Day

Wellington rock band This Silent Divide today released their new single and music video for City Lights. The band mix driving drums, wall-of-sound guitars and melodic overtones to create catchy, high-energy songs. City Lights was recorded and mixed by producer Toby Lloyd at Wellington’s Tiny Triumph Recordings.

Here is the blurb with more:

A gritty, energetic music video for City Lights accompanies the release. Filmed in a workshop in Wellington’s Eastern Suburbs by talented, young director Theo Vila, the video features fellow musicians and music fans.

This Silent Divide are celebrating the new release by playing a range of North Island shows. Further singles, gigs and an EP release are on the cards for the months ahead.

Upcoming shows:

Sat 9 Aug – Taupo – Rosemary’s – supporting Danny Rascal
Fri 22 Aug – Wellington – The Welsh Dragon, supporting Electric Tapestry, Rain & Los Punkys.

In 2024 the band released single ‘In This World‘ which Flash-Trax labelled “an absolute belter of a track” and 2023 singles ‘Outside’, ‘Beautiful Creature‘ and ‘Morning’, received positive reviews and radio play in New Zealand, the US & UK, taking the band’s music to a wider audience.

Critics labelled ‘Beautiful Creature‘ an “alt-rock jewel” (Mesmerized), a “darkly epic new anthem” (Under The Radar), an “enjoyably dynamic roller coaster” (Rock Era Magazine), and “packed with hooks and energy” (Muzic.nz).

This Silent Divide are: Shaun Jones (vocals, guitar), Kieran Williams (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jonatan Jaworski (bass) and Tim Wright (drums). Ex-band member Sunil Jolly features on drums on ‘City Lights‘.
