Tom Broome steps out from behind the kit to release Lies To Live By.

You may know Tom as the drummer behind the likes of Tami Neilson, TEEKS and Hollie Smith. Here he is with a new song of his own and here’s the blurb with details:

Tom Broome is a drummer, producer and songwriter based in Auckland, NZ. He currently performs with Tami Neilson, TEEKS, Bailey Wiley, Aaradhna and Home Brew and in the past has performed with Hollie Smith, Anika Moa and many more. He’s contributed to several award winning & nominated albums by Avantdale Bowling Club, The Miltones, Home Brew and TEEKS.

Lies To Live By is a dream-pop head-nodder about the fictions we tell ourselves to get by. “I wrote this song a year ago but decided not to do anything with it. I came back to it a few months ago and it still feels like a sentiment that’s relevant, so I tweaked the arrangement a little and finished it with the help of some friends. I try to write about what I know, what I see in family and friends and what shapes our realities.”
