This June, The Civic is home to world-class cinema, film classics, and your favourite movie musicals. Two film Festivals!

Now in its sixteenth year, the Academy Award® qualifying Doc Edge Film Festival returns from 10 – 13 June, connecting film lovers with the very best documentaries from Aotearoa and around the globe with 14 terrific films screening at The Civic.

Later in the month A Vintage Cabaret Cinema celebrates the nostalgia and memories of cinema classics past, with select screenings of musical film titles including Cabaret, All That Jazz, Funny Girl, and midnight sessions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
