13th Floor New Song Of The Day: Black Velvet Butterfly – Fetish Eyes

Here’s a new bit of goth-rock from Auckland act Black Velvet Butterfly.

The new song is Fetish Eyes and here to explain is James Castady-Kristament, the man behind the music:

The latest single Fetish Eyes is reminiscent of bands like Type O Negative, The 69 Eyes and Fields Of The Nephilim.

Fetish Eyes is a play on the phrase ‘fetishise’. Meaning to have a fetish for…

The song and video are about a man who has a fetish for goth girls. The animated music video was made with a black crayon, printer paper and Adobe character animator.

It’s pretty kick ass.

‘Fetishise’ is a term I see used a lot in discussions in the many goth groups I frequent on social media. The concept and the phrase itself fascinated me, so it became a song’.
