13th Floor New Song Of The Day: She Loves You – Dirty Orlean

Here’s a rocker for a Sunday morning…Auckland band She Loves You and their debut single Dirty Orlean.

The four-piece plan on an EP release later this year and they have a show coming up at Anthology Lounge. Here’s the record company blurb with details:

Written and performed by all four She Loves You members, ‘Dirty Orlean’ is a hot and heavy, playful and openly unapologetic rock tune.

She Loves You is a fast-paced, all-girl rock band with a focus on female empowerment, especially within the NZ rock scene. With sassy vocals and cheeky melodies, She Loves You aims to produce a heady mix of strength and femininity.

‘Dirty Orlean’ features a strong female character, who isn’t afraid to show her more hedonistic side. Uninhibited, this female lives her life with her own set of rules. With a change in attitudes and more of an acceptance of sexuality within today’s society, ‘Dirty Orlean’ not only references an openly decadent lifestyle but also, feminine freedoms.

She Loves You delivers loud, in-your-face original songs, sexy, high energy modern rock all with a light-hearted twist. Performing live regularly for the past few years, at various venues throughout Auckland, SLY is currently working on their debut EP, with more singles scheduled for release throughout the year.
Dirty Orlean was recorded at Big Pop Studios, Auckland by Rich Bryan and mastered by Luke Finlay from Primal Mastering.

Catch the band at their single release party on Friday 5th April at Anthology Lounge. Tickets from www.undertheradar.co.nz
