Allophones – Human: 13th Floor New Song Of The Day

Allophones (siblings Barney & Ben Connolly + Tane Cotton) are from Dunedin and today they release their debut single and video and announce tour dates.

Ōtepoti’s [Allophones] are siblings Barney and Ben Connolly (both of The Rhododendrons) with drummer Tane Cotton (Blisspoint), who in recent months have been honing their craft on stage alongside such significant local figures as Die! Die! Die, Soaked Oats, Night Lunch, Garageland, and The Chills.

Clearly fiending to hit the open road, the rising trio have announced a massive twelve date nationwide tour for February 2023, announced this morning with the unveiling of their debut single and video ‘HUMAN‘. An ominous squall of heavy psych-tinted guitars and unsentimental reflections on our lumbering flesh prisons, the video for ‘HUMAN’ directed by Ben Connolly stars [Allophones] in a record company pitching session gone horribly wrong…..
